I was born and raised in a small town in rural Iowa. As a kid, my mom was either teaching P.E. or cooking delicious food in our tiny kitchen. Every Sunday we enjoyed a veritable feast of homemade roast with vegetables. Eventually I began to cook with my mom and cook on my own. By the time I started college I had a collection of recipes and I was devouring cooking magazines.
When my first college and career pick didn't pan out, I decide to follow the new passion I had found in photography. By this time I began dividing my spare time between devouring food blogs and food magazines. My parents picked up on this and suggested a career in food photography. I thought, "Brilliant!"
Currently I work as an art producer at Team One &mdash a career move both unexpected and completely perfect. I continue to document my food adventures and human adventures while I'm not working with the monsters of 2K or the vehicles of Lexus. I also enjoy a good yoga session in Echo Park, a cold beer and nice can of sweet peas while taking a bubble bath. But I mostly enjoy using my free time to document my magic bullet vegan ice cream shake adventures.
